Here's Where To Buy Stuff From Me And My Friends!

Here I am, trying to lure you to my store!

Check out Elisa's Bodacious House of Style, on Ebay, for all the best plus size contemporary and vintage clothing! Not to mention vintage jewelry, accessories, large sized shoes, antiques, and sports collectibles!

I have some wonderfully funny friends, whose work I urge you to buy. At the very top of my list is Meg Sweeney Lawless, one of the most consistently hilarious writers out there. You can sample her work in "Life's A Stitch," but also in these fine publications, both edited by Michael Rosen:

Now available in an impress-the-folks-back-home hardcover edition:
101 Damnations -- published by Thomas Dunne Books. Humorists write about things they hate. What could be better?

More Mirth of a Nation: The Best Contemporary Humor
http://www.harpercollins.com/catalog. Filled with other witty folk such as Randy Cohen (The NY Times Ethicist), Bruce McCall, and Steve Martin.

More Mirth of a Nation: The Best Contemporary Humor

My husband, Jeff Shames, has made a truly wonderful, inspiring documentary, "Spit It Out.” It is a personal film about his journey as a person who stutters, growing from a childhood of shame and denial to an adulthood of love and service. The film has been shown at festivals internationally and won several awards. (I wouldn't be honest if I didn't admit I appear in the second half quite a bit.) He co-produced it with Jonathan Skurnik, and it is being distributed by New Day Films.
As mentioned on the front page of my site, I have a new store on Specialist Auctions, "The Mad Fashionista's Vintage And Modern". There's a link to it there, too. Please patronize it, and the many other sellers on that site!

One of my favorite sellers is Born Too Late Vintage. Vivienne has an amazing selection!
My nephew, Max, has a great website that has been mentioned in The Washington Post and Wired. It's www.ytmnd.com, which means You The Man Now, Dawg, a deathless line Sean Connery uttered in some godawful film to some hapless black actor. It's really sick shit...check it out. (The even sicker website is www.ytmnsfw.com, which stands for Not Safe For Work!)
